"I reacted in a bad way - the wrong way. I wanted to give him a hit back." - Jesse Boulerice

"It"s unacceptable, it's something that we can't have. We didn't need to get involved in anything really, we had the hockey game in hand and that was the message on the bench, so that kind of stuff can't happen." - John Stevens

"He cross-checked me right in the jaw. Obviously, it's a dirty play. You don't like to see that happen to anybody. To have it happen to yourself, obviously, you're pissed off about it, and you shouldn't be in the game. I'm just lucky that my jaw's not broken." - Ryan Kesler

"It was a vicious blow to the head." Alain Vigneault

"This is as bad as I've seen this team play. We talked about getting back to the good habits we had last year and we have to. We haven't done that so far. We got away with a game in Calgary where we found a way to win but we have to find a way to play better and it has to start with the preparation individually and obviously executing on the ice. It was embarrassing. Embarrassing to lose at home 8-2 and embarrassing to lose to a team that we should beat if we play at our level but we didn't even come close because we didn't do anything right." - Markus Naslund

"I think it was just a very bad team effort for all 20 guys, so it's not a matter of somebody leaving somebody else out to dry. It was just a bad effort all around.  I can't explain it. There's no excuse for it and i think we've all got to look in the mirror and look at ourselves to see what we've got to do better." - Roberto Luongo
