The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly - Detroit 3 Vancouver 2

Matt Cooke

Well, we had more than 15 shots this time against the Wings which is a good sign.  This was a much more entertaining game and the Canucks obviously put in a great effort but just came up short.

GoodThe Good:
Roberto Luongo:  I don’t want to sound like a broken record but this guy is amazing; his concentration is so strong and he comes up with some incredible saves that really prevent this team from being blown out

Cooke/Morrison/Linden Line:  not only did they get the first goal but they played some great hockey tonight

The Bad: Bad
Alexander Edler: he was schooled twice in the 2nd period and cost the Canucks a goal

Mason Raymond: he didn’t have a terrible game but he just seems to be one step behind everyone else out there and I don’t think he is helping the Sedins at all

The Sedins:  something just isn’t right – they aren’t playing with the polish that we know they have

The Ugly:
The Disallowed Tying Goal:  that was in!!!!  complete B.S that didn’t count

Detroit's Goals Against the Flow:  it’s always tough on a team when they work hard at one end of the ice and then have the opposition come down and score a quick one against you...Detroit got two of these types of goals tonight

Pay-Per View:  you would think that they would put some effort in when they ask people to pay extra to watch the game; no one could understand anything Burrows said during his mic’ed up feature

News about the Moose:  Dave Nonis’ interview in the first intermission indicated that Hansen, Shannon and Balej were all hurt and we really have no one to call up to take Rypien’s spot.

Discuss it in the Canucks vs. Wings GDT!
