| The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly - Philladelphia 8 Vancouver 2 |
I was asked to write a new ongoing feature here at Canucksfanz.com called “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly – after each Canuck game this season. What a game to start out on: Vancouver vs. Philadelphia - 8 to 2. This one was not pretty but here we go anyway. By: Frank Krulicki The Good: - Alain Vigneault pulling Roberto Luongo after the first period: coach could sense a blow out - the fact there is only 3 periods in a game (whew!) - Lukas Krajicek was by far the best defence man on the ice for the Canucks - Ryan Shannon had a good game (except for the give away on the 8th goal) - D. Sedin played his regular consistent game - Aaron Miller’s give away up the middle on Philly’s 1st goal - the fact the Canucks allowed two goals against in 13 seconds - bad penalties on the Canuck’s part
The Ugly: - Vancouver’s defence constantly out of position - Kevin Bieksa: this is looking like sophomore slump folks; he hasn’t played a good game yet this year - Jesse Boulerice’s cross check into Ryan Kesler’s face, knocking him to the ice, and then standing over top of Kesler about to drop the gloves to fight except for the fact that Kesler looked unconscious HIGHLIGHTS: http://scores.espn.go.com/nhl/recap?gameId=271010022 Discuss it in the Canucks vs. Philly game day thread!
