| The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly - Vancouver 5 Edmonton 2 |
|
Well, this article was more fun to write – not only wasn’t it a blow out but the Canucks actually won: Vancouver vs. Edmonton - 5 to 2. Now let’s just hope the game against Philly was nothing more than an aberration.
The Good: - Ryan Kesler, with no visor, out there on the starting line for the first face-off - the Rick Rypien/Jeff Cowan/Alex Burrows line: lot of energy and points - getting that 4th goal just 20 seconds after Edmonton’s 2nd goal: it could have been a rallying point for the Oilers - Roberto Luongo played very well; especially the save off of Steve Staios in the 2nd period (open net but Luongo robbed him) - the Sedin Twins The Bad: - Byron Ritchie on Oiler’s first goal: why is this guy playing over Linden?? - Weaver: okay he wasn’t as bad as he was the other night but how much longer will he be the line-up over Alex Edler? The Ugly: - Canuck’s first power play in the 2nd period - only 15 face-off won: gotta win more of those - Brendan Morrison, even though he got a goal and assist, really was almost invisible out there - Canuck’s 5th goal by Naslund: you gotta know Dwayne Roloson wants that one back By Frank Krulicki |
