Three Questions with Daniel Rahimi
Canucks Fanz Columnist Farhan Devji recently caught up with Vancouver's 3rd round selection in the 2006 Entry Draft, Daniel Rahimi, who took a few minutes to answer three of our questions. Read how Daniel rates his start to the season, and stay tuned for "Three Questons" with the voice of the Manitoba Moose, Brian Munz, and many more!

Three Questions with Daniel Rahimi

1. How pleased were you to be drafted by the Vancouver Canucks, considering the surplus of Swedes that the Canucks organization has in their system?

DR: I was very pleased that it was the Canucks that drafted me. I know that they have a good organization and that they take care of their players well.

2. You play a much more on the edge and in your face type style of game than most Europeans usually do. Has that always been the way you have played and how did you learn to play this North American-esque game?

DR: I don't think that I know the North American game just yet, I have a long way to go. But I have always loved to play a tough game since I was a kid.

3. How have you enjoyed your first stint of professional hockey in North America this season with Manitoba and Victoria, and what do you think you need to work on most to eventually make it to the next level?

DR: I haven't had a great start to the season. This is a learning process for me, it's a big difference from Sweden. I have to work on a lot of things such as quick feet, passing and my shot. But I am a hard working guy so I will get better.

Thanks again Daniel!

Place: Umea, SWE
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 213 lbs.

Drafted: Vancouver's third round draft choice, 82nd overall, in 2006 NHL Entry Draft

TALENT ANALYSIS:
(courtesy of Hockey's Future)
He has great size at 6’3, 200 lbs and plays a mean, on-the-edge defensively-focused game. At this point he lacks the offensive talents to be a contributor offensively, but the organization does not see that as a huge concern. He has decent skating and has been touted by Swedish scout Thomas Gradin as being extremely mature.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Rahimi comes to the aid of his teammate on Bjorkloven IF of the Swedish Junior League:
