The Canucks' record-setting 14-game road trip finally is over. After six weeks, it was appropriate that it took extra time.
While it's hard to imagine anyone was happy to end the Olympic-induced odyssey with a loss, at least the Canucks got a point before falling 4-3 to Phoenix in a shootout. And after rallying from a pair of three-goal deficits to win 6-4 the night before in Colorado and finish the grueling roadie with an 8-5-1 record and a five-point cushion over the Avalanche atop the Northwest Division, Vancouver comes home with a lot of positives.
Like a lot of their games of late, the Canucks' road trip started slowly and finished fast. They fell behind in 11 of 14 games, including Wednesday's loss in Phoenix, but rallied to win five of those games and earn a point...

Aucoin lifts Coyotes past Canucks (AP)

Adrian Aucoin beat Andrew Raycroft in a shootout with a little help from Phoenix backup goalie Jason LaBarbera. Aucoin scored in the sixth round of a shootout, and Ilya Bryzgalov deflected Mason Raymond's final attempt for Vancouver high over the net to give the Coyotes a 4-3 victory over the Canucks on Wednesday night.
